HULA HOOPING X VOGUING WORKSHOP AT THE HIVE !
Saturday June 18th 3:30pm to 7pm
Calling all dancers, performers, hula hoopers, fitness freaks, queens, butch queens, artist, men, women, gender queers, and everyone in between.. !
This werkshop is designed for all skill levels to learn a unique combination of vouging and hula hooping – tricks, dips, hips, and sass while holding a prop and vouguing it out!
Focus
– Learn essential hula hoop skills and a variety of tricks and dance moves
– Learn vogue fem essentials from runway to drops
– Learn a full length choreography with the two styles of dance combined
– Werk on a variety of activities to develop your own performative skills and confidence
– Develop your own persona as a performer while interacting with other dancers

About the teachers
Symoné is a professional hula hoop performer and instructor, cabaret artist and rollarskater. . She currently holds a Guinness World Record with The Majorettes for ‘most hoops spun simultaneously as a group’, she can spin 40 hoops on her body at once! In the past she has had the opportunity to work with Sun Ra’s Arkestra, Omi & Machel Montano, Rookie Magazine, Jon Hopkins, Kensington Palace, Dell, Glastonbury festival, and many more.
She loves teaching and currently works with classes around East London.

Jay Jay Revlon is a professional dancer and teacher with a wide range of styles under his belt. His performance background and credit includes; Sadler Wells, Got to Dance, As one in the park, and Eve. He has learned under the best in Vogue such has, Leiomy Amazon and Sania Ebony. Recently, Jay Jay Revlon has receieved an award for “Best in Vogue Fem” while in Stockholm. He holds regular vogue functions called English Breakfast London.
