The first Homeless not Hopeless Festival will take place on 28th November 2015 at Hive Dalston, in Haggerston, from 12pm to 11.30pm.

The aim of this event is to connect people who are homeless with their local community through music.

There will be bands, professional djs, talks, spoken word, healthy food and much, much more.

The Homeless not Hopeless Festival is a pay at the door event. People are asked to give a donation of their choice, (ideally no less than £5.00). This means there will be no pressure to give if someone isn’t earning. All profits will go to Caritas Anchor House.

Charitas Anchor House helps over 200 homeless people per year, in the 2nd most deprived borough in UK & Wales. They do this by taking great time and consideration in understanding the root causes of each individual’s situation, empowering them through an encouraged goal to create an independent life.

Unfortunately with ever-rising rent, especially in London, there is more pressure on charities, like Charitas Anchor House, to provide higher skill set training, in order to prevent people from relapsing into homelessness.

In light of the situation we believe that it is so important that we continue to put on events that raise as much money, and social awareness as possible for this ever increasing issue of homelessness.

This will be an inspirational, insightful and empowering one off event, surely not to be missed.
