Make Sense is a worldwide project that empowers people to engage in projects and challenges that help social entrepreneurs. By solving multiple concrete challenges, they contribute to solutions for some of the biggest problems faced by our society.

At Make Sense we turn social engagement into an easy, fun and efficient learning experience, accessible to absolutely everyone at a global scale. Today MakeSense is a 32,000 network of volunteers across the globe, We have recently launched a worldwide campaign to create awareness about food security issues.

To start the campaign in London we are running a special event blending live music performance and talks – we call it MKS Room. Using music and culture, our mission is to promote social business and make it accessible to everyone.  In the past 2 years we have run MKS rooms in more than 80 cities , most recently in London we have gathered more than 70 people to discuss about the future of the refugee issue in Europe.

What is an MKS Room? MKS Rooms are recorded events blending live performance and talks connecting art and social entrepreneurship. By using music and culture, our mission is to promote social business and make it accessible to everyone.

MakeSense is a network of 32,000 volunteers (and growing) across the globe, that supports social entrepreneurs solve important challenges providing them with tangible and applicable solutions.

Why MKS Room – Tackling Food Waste? This MKS Room will put the spotlight on food waste. Our system is in crisis, whilst almost one billion people are affected by hunger, we are throwing away 1/3 of our food. According to a recent study, reducing food waste can not only help end hunger but also mitigate climate change.

How can we contribute to stop food waste and close the loop?

This event is part of our global mobilization campaign that will be raising awareness and creating action around Food Security. Our mission: reinventing food systems, achieving #zerohunger, healthier people, and a healthier planet.

We have the power to take action. Concrete solutions are out there and we have to implement them.

What if everything was happening at a local level?

MakeSense has just launched a global mobilization campaign to bring together experts, volunteers, artists and other actors who are ready to create change, from our farms to our tables.

Are you ready to be part of the solution?
